Amanda brought in dried Butterfly Pea Flowers and suggested I try them steeped in hot water and I couldn’t resist. I didn’t expect the color to seep out of the flowers and into the water! It creates a stunning vibrant blue display and the water only gets deeper blue the longer you let the dried flowers steep. The taste is very subtle and palate cleansing!
You can also use the dried flowers to add color to your rice, pasta or any other grain (oatmeal comes to mind), add it to baking – a great addition to blueberry muffins & pancakes!!
