INGREDIENTS– 1. Chole or Chickpea boiled (250 gm)
2. Onion chopped
(1 medium)
3. Onion paste (1 medium)
4. Tomato puree (2 medium)
5. Cumin powder
(1 & 1/2 tea spn)
6. Coriander powder
(1 & 1/2 tea spn)
7. Turmeric powder
(1/2 tea spn)
8. Red chilli powder
(1 tea spn)
9. Kashmiri red chilli
(1 tea spn)
10. Bay leaves (1)
11. Black Cardamom (1)
12. Green Cardamom (4)
13. Jaggery powder
(1 tea spn)
14. Salt
15. Cumin seeds (1/2 tea spn)
16. Chole masala (2 tea spn)
17. Curd (1 cup)
18. Cinnamon stick (1)
19. Asafoitida (1/4 tea spn)
20. Ginger Paste (2 tea spn)
21. Garlic Paste (2 tea spn)
22. Mustard oil (2 tbl spn)
23. Dry fenugreek leaves
(1 tea spn)
24. Clarified butter or ghee
(2-3 tea spn)

RECIPE — 1. Add all the whole spices to hot oil.
2. Add cumin seeds and chopped onion.
3. Add asafoitida.
4. Add turmeric and kashmiri red chilli powder.
5. Add curd to it.
6. Once the oil starts to separate add Onion paste to it.
7. Add Ginger- Garlic Paste to it.
8. Add cumin and coriander powder.
9. Now add tomato puree to it.
10. Add jaggery powder to it.
11. Add chole to it.
12. Add chole masala to it and stir nicely.
13. Add red chilli powder to it.
14. Add salt to taste and stir nicely so that all the ingredients incorporate each other.
15. Add water and cook for 5-7 mins in a medium flame.
16. Cook for 2 mins and then cover it and cook for 5 mins.
17. After 5 mins add kasuri methi or dry fenugreek leaves.
18. Now last but not the least add clarified butter or ghee to it and switch off the flame.
19. Serve hot 🔥 with Kulcha.
